Touch Id in Macbook air not working in Big Sur

Apple releases Big Sur on Nov 12, 2020. After upgrade to this operating system, the touch-id might not work. This can be solved by resetting the system management controller (SMC). Apparently this has been seen that resetting SMC can resolve certain issues related to power, battery, fans, and other features. These are steps which you can follow :

1. Shut down your Mac.
2. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds, then release the button.
3. Wait a few seconds, then press the power button to turn on your Mac.
